Demand Response Transportation

Thank you for choosing the Meridian Transit System Demand Response Transportation (DRT). DRT is designed to assist citizens in connecting with everyday life activities. Riders are required to schedule a trip at least 24 - hours in advance. A cancellation made less than 30-minutes of the scheduled trip is to occur will count as a no-show and may result in discontinuation of the DRT. No-shows result when the rider fails to show-up for the scheduled trip at the scheduled time and location when the vehicle has arrived, on-time, and the rider has not cancelled the trip in advance. If a rider cancels the trip at the door when the vehicle arrives, this is also counted as a no-show. Immediate request will be filled if the time slot is available.

The cost for DRT is $3.00 per trip. There may be at least a 15-minute wait before the bus arrives. There may be other passengers traveling on the bus to the same general area. If it is necessary to cancel a trip, we ask that you cancel at least one-hour before pick-up. No-shows and cancellations may result in discontinued service of DRT. When leaving a message on the voice mail for a trip someone from Meridian Transit System must call back to verify your appointment.
